Coda Research is led by Dr Steve Smith, an acknowledged research specialist with thirteen years' research and consulting experience around new media and new technologies.

Steve has undertaken numerous projects for an extensive range of blue chip and government organisations in the UK and overseas, that have significantly informed product and service development, branding, marketing and communications and research. These include broadcasters, mobile and fixed service operators, device manufacturers, banks, airlines and airports, British and American governments and UK universities.

Prior to directing Coda Research Consultancy, Steve was the Research Director of a successful London based research consultancy. Before this, he spent eight years in a variety of research and consultancy positions.

Prior to obtaining his doctorate in sociology from the University of Surrey, Steve had a successful career at Lloyd's of London.
